Zout Stain Remover Review and Giveaway!

I have never been much for laundry stain removers, but since having a toddler I really need it. Brea's poor clothes are always covered in stains. So when I received an opportunity to review Zout Triple Enzyme Stain Remover I jumped on it!

Zout includes not one, but three enzymes that target different types of stains. This insures that most stains are covered without having to buy multiple products.

The enzyme information was obtained from the Zout website and the bottle of the review Zout!

1. Amylase - Amylase is used to remove stains such as baby food, chocolate syrup, tomato sauce, and BBQ sauce
2. Protease - Protease is used to remove grass, blood, and baby formula stains.
3. Lipase - Lipase is used to remove butters, dressings and oils.

Zout is said to be safe on all colorfast clothing and recommends testing clothing before use if you are unsure if it is colorfast.

My thoughts on Zout . . .

This week Brea stained up a couple of really good outfits with lots of culprits. We had blueberry, grass, and multiple other food stains. These stains occurred on different days so I only took a before and after picture of one outfit, but they both had amazing results.

The first outfit was a cute little lightweight summer outfit that Brea had gotten blueberry stains all down the leg. I thought this outfit was a goner! When we arrived home I sprayed the outfit with Zout, but since I was not doing clothes right then I laid it on the washer for later. I had every intention of washing clothes that evening, but I got busy with other things and forgot. So two days later when I went to wash clothes the outfit was still setting on the washer. Since the directions said to leave the stain remover for 5 minutes I was now sure the outfit was a ruined. I read the laundry instructions and it said to hand wash. I am sorry, but I have always been lazy and for me this means delicate cycle in the washer and hang to dry. I am thrilled to say that each and every blueberry stain was gone when I pulled the clothes out of the washer!

Please remember that Zout does not recommend leaving the stain remover on the clothing for long periods of time

The second outfit had a grass stain on one knee from playing outside and the shirt had multiple food stains from a baby shower we had attended. I was so tired when we got home from the baby shower that I just put Brea's PJs on and went to bed. The next day I went to wash the clothes and once again I thought they were ruined. After all they had been sitting for a day and a half surely the stains had set. I sprayed the stained areas of the clothing with Zout, rubbed it in, and let it set for 5 minutes all per the directions. Then I threw it in with the other clothes and washed in cold water. I was really happy with the results and actually have before and after pictures to share with you.

Before Zout

After Zout

The shirt came completely clean it looks brand new!

I promise all of the pants pictures are of the same pants I have no idea why they are all different colors! Anyway you can't see it really well here but there is still a very small spot where the large grass stain was originally. I don't think that you would even notice it if you did not already know it was there. It definitely made them wearable again!
