See Kai Run Review and Giveaway! (US and Canada)

Finding stylish shoes for your children that are comfortable and designed for a child's foot can be very difficult. I have gotten Brea many shoes that fall off every time you turn around or worse yet I find a blister on her foot after a day of play. I had almost given up hope of finding the right shoes for Brea, but then I came across See Kai Run!

See Kai Run shoes are a result of Kai's mommy who just wanted a pair of comfortable, flexible, hip shoes for her son. With a mother's love and her desire to provide the best for her son See Kai Run shoes were created! The soles of these shoes are made from extremely flexible rubber. The actual shoes are made of breathable leather and have "padded collars" (woohoo no blisters!).

See Kai Run offers three different brand names. "See Kai Run" fits children 6 months to 3 years. The "Smaller" line that fits 0-18 months. Lastly the "Eleven" line that fits 3-8 year olds.

All of their brands have a wide variety of appealing styles. There is something for everyone so head on over to See Kai Run now and take a look for yourself!

Our Opinion of See Kai Run . . .

Brea and I had the opportunity to review the Jennae shoes. I was pretty skeptical when I first received them. As I said I have tried so many different types of shoes!

Much to my surprise when I pulled the shoes out of the box I could immediately tell a difference. The soles were extremely flexible. I could actually fold the shoe in half! The material of the Jennae shoe was very soft both inside and out. The velcro closure had a cute pink flower on the side and at the toe there is a half moon cut out. Both of those features added just the right amount of class to make the shoes dressy without over doing it!

Then came time for Brea to try the shoes on much to my dismay they were way too big. I thought there was no way that I was going to be able to review them properly. Just to see what happened I went ahead and fastened the velcro to see how much give they had. Surprisingly even though they were too big they were still snug on her feet. Brea has been wearing them for more than a week with no problems! Bye Bye Blisters! The best thing is that she gets to grow into them also!

As I said Brea has been wearing the Jennae shoes for more than a week now and they are holding up great. She has played both indoors and outdoors. Just like all toddlers she has already taken a couple tumbles with the Jennaes on, but they still lock brand new! Not a scratch and easily wiped clean!

I would definitely recommend See Kai Run to my friends and family and I will be checking out their dress shoes on a regular basis now! So head on over and check them out for yourselves I promise you will not be disappointed!

Lavender Lab from Cloud B Review!

While visiting Cloud B, I came across the Lavender Lab. Lavender is naturally calming and the scent is often used as a sleep aid. Before having Brea I used to spray my pillow with lavender spray to help me sleep. As most of you know I co-sleep so lavender spray is not really an option at the moment. I think it may be a little strong for Brea. So when I saw the Lavender Lab I knew that this could be truly beneficial and when I came across the opportunity to do a review for Brea's Mommy I jumped on it!

The Lavender Lab has packets of Lavender and other aromatherapy products inside. To release the scents all you need to do is squeeze the Lavender Lab's head and back. After releasing the scents just lay the Lavender Lab on your child's pillow until it is time for sleep. Then remove the Lavender Lab when your child is ready to sleep.

The calming effects of the aromatherapy packets will help your child fall asleep and sleep throughout the night. The scent lasts up to 5 years!

Our opinion of the Lavender Lab . . .

Brea loves dogs so every night when she sees the Lavender Lab on her pillow she says "doggy." I usually let her pet the "doggy" before we remove him off of the bed. Surprisingly she does not seem to get upset when I remove the dog from the bed. I actually thought this maybe an issue.

I think the Lavender Lab is great. I have noticed that Brea does appear to sleep better on nights that the Lavender Lab had been on her pillow. Brea has always been a very restless sleeper and she flops all over the bed during the night. Since using the Lavender Lab I have also noticed a decrease in her flopping, which also means I sleep better!

I think the only thing left is buying a Lavender Lab for my pillow. I think I am getting a little jealous.

Do you want your own Lavender Lab to help your sleeping angel? If so head on over to Cloud B and while you are there check out all of the other great sleep related products for kids!

Cool Gear Travel Potty Review and Giveaway for Potty Time Party!

One problem that I have come across while potty training is that we are on the go alot! I needed something that was easy to carry around with us and easy to use. I know that some people carry around regular potty chairs, but they are just too big and bulky for me. So when I came across the Coolgear Travel Potty I just had to try it out! I was really excited when Coolgear gave me the opportunity to share their product with all of my readers!

Coolgear's travel potty folds up into a little carrying case making it easy to carry around. It has a storage compartment on each side where you could store baggies, toilet paper, wipes, and other potty neccessities. Instead of having a bowl that needs to be cleaned with each use you use gallon size baggies and just toss them when finished!

My opinion of Coolgear's travel potty . . .

I love the convenience and portablity of the Coolgear Travel Potty. I also love that it uses baggies that you can just toss and I don't have to worry about finding a sink and soap to clean the bowl.

The Coolgear travel potty is made of sturdy plastic which appears to hold up well with toddlers sitting on it. Brea does not appear uncomfortable when she is sitting on it!

The seat fits over the plastic bag to hold it into place and the handle folds down to lock the seat into place preventing messes from the bag falling out! This is a must have no one wants to clean that mess up!

All in all the Coolgear Travel Potty is a must have for any potty training parent!

Lil Lewis Travel Pillow for kids Review and Giveaway!

I have been looking for something to make Brea more comfortable when she is stuck in the car or stroller for nap time. So I was thrilled when I got the opportunity to do a review for Lewis N. Clark for the Lil Lewis travel pillows. These pillows are shaped like any other neck pillow I have seen except these are made to resemble animals! These pillows are fiber filled and provide head and neck support to our traveling little ones.

Our Opinion of Lil Lewis travel pillows . . .

Lil Lewis travel pillows rate high in our household. We received the gorilla travel pillow to review. It was comfortable and worked excellent as a neck pillow, but is also soft and cuddly for when the kids are awake. I love that we now have a comfortable way for Brea to nap when we are on-the-go and that it will also double as a toy for when she is awake. What more could a mom ask for?

Brea loves her "monkey pillo" as she says. Brea has always needed to rub someone's arm or have someone rub her feet in order to fall asleep. As you can imagine this can be very difficult when driving and sometimes she has to cry herself to sleep. I feel so bad when this happens, but sometimes it is unavoidable. As you may notice in the pictures Brea has now found an alternative she is rubbing the gorilla pillows face. This may not work all of the time, but I will be eternally grateful for the times that it does work. Brea also enjoys playing with her "monkey" when she is not using it for nap times and may be seen riding around in her stroller quite frequently this summer playing with her gorilla pillow!

I must also send a word of caution that while my daughter is 21 months old the travel pillows do caution that the pillows are "Not for children under 3 years of age" There are no buttons or other things that could be considered choking hazards noted from my review of the gorilla pillow.

Cherie also wanted me to share that " all our pillows meet CPSIA guidelines, including the most
recent, more stringent requirements."

Kids say the funniest things

Some things that kids say are just so cute you don't know how to reply. Occasionally I will post different comments made by children or adults that stick in my mind. I hope that you will enjoy these posts.

I had the following conversation with a 10 year old girl
Me: Have you lived in the United States your whole life?
10 year old: "No"
Me: "How long have you lived in the United States"
10 year old: "About 3 years"
10 year old: "I speak really good English. Don't I?"
Me: "Yes, where are you from"
10 year old: "Alabama"

I thought this was the cutest thing and still get a kick out of it. I was speechless at first, but after that we discussed the United States and the states included.

Brea has no fear, except . . .

I've heard so many stories of what my 10 month old will probably be scared of. So far she loves the beach and even laughed when she got hit by the waves, she looks at the lawn mower inquisitively but with no fear, and didn't flinch for the fireworks. Now here is the punch line for all the things she is not scared of the vacuum terrifies her. I don't mean that she doesn't like it or shys away from it I mean it TERRIFIES her. She will stand in her playpen shaking from head to toe and scream the whole time it is on. Makes it a little difficult to clean at times. Although its a good excuse not to vacuum on those lazy days. LOL.
Please leave me a comment and tell me an interesting fact about your little one.

Merry Christmas

I hope everyone has a merry christmas. I'm off Christmas Eve and will be running from house to house all day. Its Brea's first Christmas so everyone has to see her. I am soooooo excited. She has lots of presents too open which was always my favorite part. Guess what she's too young to open them so the task is handed to me. So tommorrow I get to pretend I'm a kid again and open lots of toys and clothes and whatever else someone should decide on. Even though I love opening presents I have to say I really can't wait till next year when she can at least participate a little more. And the year after that when she can do even more. I just want to make her happy. Well back wishing you a merry christmas
